Scope and Objectives

The industrial session of the ISMIS 2011 will be devoted to applications of emerging, intelligent technologies in different branches of the industry. The aim of this session is to create a forum for exchange of ideas and presentation of results on how innovative intelligent information systems can enhance industry solutions. Architectures, tools and practical implementations of the topics described below are also of interest to this session.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Applications of Intelligent information systems
  • Knowledge discovery and data mining from production data
  • Knowledge visualization in the industry
  • Commercial digital libraries
  • Web technologies
  • New approaches to database and knowledge management systems
  • Mobile applications and collaborative mobile spaces
  • Data transmission
  • Applications of context-aware computing
  • Digital content adaptation
  • Cloud computing

Paper Submissions

Authors are invited to submit original unpublished manuscripts that demonstrate current research on one of the session topics of interest. Papers should be prepared using the Springer LNCS/LNAI style with 8-20 pages. All submitted papers will be reviewed by the members of industrial session PC. Accepted papers will be publish in the edited book published in the Springer Series Studies in Computational Intelligence (www.springer.com/series/7092)
